The listed company decided to house its parent company, The Tecity Group, and its subsidiaries: Straits Real Estate, SRE Capital & ARA Asset Management on the same floor in Guoco Tower at Tanjong Pagar Centre. The decision entailed the entities to move from 3 different office buildings. The brief required configuring the 18000sf space into common areas such as reception, break-out area, board room, dining room and meeting rooms to be shared by the various entities. Each entity had to have its own dedicated workspace as well. The office design challenge was to incorporate the many and sometimes conflicting requirements to satisfy all the end users. The project was designed in accordance with sustainability and green features to ensure operational efficiency. Efforts included avoidance of PVC based products, use of paints & coatings with VOC limit, lighting scheme designed solely on LED fittings, use of low-emitting flooring system materials.
